Re: What is the procedure to give UPSC exam in Marathi?

Dear applicant upsc exam can be given in only two languages ie hindi or english. But if you want to apply this in marathi which is not possible so in place of this you can go for M.P.C.S which means Maharashtra public service exams this is approved by Maharashtra government.
here you have to face following papers:

    1) English (100 Marks) Descriptive type questions
    2) Marathi (100 Marks) Descriptive type questions
    3) General Studies Paper I (150 Marks) Objective type questions (MCQs) 2 hours
    4) General Studies Paper II (150 Marks) Objective type questions (MCQs) - 2 hours
    5) General Studies Paper III (150 Marks) Objective type questions (MCQs) - 2 hours
    6) General Studies Paper IV (150 Marks) Objective type questions (MCQs) - 2 hours

    thanks

    Hello Aspirant.

    >> Here,I would like to get you straight with the 'language' terms for appearing the UPSC exam,a common term for the prestigious Civil Services exams.

    # The UPSC conducts the Civil Services exams annually.

    # By now,you might be well aware that the exams are conducted in three legs, namely,
The Preliminary exams, The Mains exams and The Interviews.

    # Now the Preliminary exams are conducted on mass-scale.This is the screening test and the number of applicants is very high.So it is not quite possible to appear the exam in all regional languages.
    Hence,these exams are conducted in
    English and Hindi only.

    # If you qualify the Prelims, you will proceed to the Mains exams.

    # This exam very much give you the privilege to answer the papers except that of ENGLISH QUALIFYING PAPER,in any language,to be chosen from the list of 25 languages allowed, and
    YES,IT DEFINITELY INCLUDES MARATHI.

    #
You have to mention your language choice,in the detailed application form for the Mains exams, which is to be filled when you pass the Preliminary exams. Its a simple process you will come to know surely when you have done half the job of being screened for the Mains.

    >> For details, you may log in to the Official Website of the UPSC :: www.upsc.gov.in !!!

    all the best.
