    What is the process for appearing in IAS exam?


    I am studying B.Tech final year. I have to became an IAS officer. What is the process to write the IAS exams. Please.......... help me.

    Hello Dear Dude ...

    As you are studying B.Tech Final year you no need to Worry

    To become IAS officer you must write the IAS exam

    And the age must be ( 21 - 30 years) age range

    And you must have a minimum of GRADUATION

    The Selection process is of :::

    <> Written Test

    <> personal Interview

    <> Medical Test ..

    So you need to qualify the Rounds one by one

    you are eligible for IAS exam. IAS exam does not requires no percentage.


    --you must be passed bachelor degree from a recognized university. final year candidates are also eligible.

    --general age limit is 21-30 years.

    --you must be Indian.

    IAS exam selection process;-

    --CSAT or Preliminary exam

    --Mains exam


    Now CSAT application is open. you can apply only online.

    After clearing preliminary exam ,you will be enter in Mains exam.

    Based on these two papers, you will be called for PERSONALTY INTERVIEW.

    final year appearing can apply 4 ias.

    Apply now, nitification is issued,.

    Refer syllabus ,,,

    study 4 papers ,,, good luck.

    Dear Friend

    IAS is the Indian Administrative services.The process for appearing for this exam is discussed as below.For this services civil services examinations are conducted by the Union Public service commission.

    Step1: You have to become eligible for the examinations by satisfying the eligibility criteria.

    Academic qualifications:

    >>You should be a bachelor's degree holder in any discipline from a recognized university.IF you are in final year of bachelor's degree course then also you can appear for the examinations.

    Age criteria:

    The minimum age limit is 21 years for candidates of each and every category but the upper age limit is as per category:

    1.General:21-30 years

    2.OBC:21-33 years

    3.SC/ST:21-35 years.

    SO you must satisfy the age criteria also.


    >>You must be an Indian citizen.

    Step2: If you satisfy the all requirements the you can appear for the Civil services examinations by applying online at the www.upsc.gov.in.The important date for the CSE 2013 are :

    Date of notification:05/03/2013.

    Last date of receiving application:04/04/2013.

    Date of preliminary exam: 26/05/2013.
