    Hello Friend,
    IRS(Indian Revenue officer) is the 4th most respected post of civil service after IAS,IPS,IFS's.The IRS exam conducted by UPSC every year.

    Eligibility:

    Educational Qualification:
    To be eligible to becoming an IRS officer the candidate must posses a bachelor degree in any recognized University or an equivalent qualification.

    Age:
    The candidate must have attained minimum 21 year & maximum 30 year on 1st August of the year of the examination.
    The upper age limit is also relaxed by 3 year for OBC & 5 year for SC/ST.
    The upper age limit is relaxed in favor of defense srevices personnel.


    Nationality - Indian.

    IRS means indian revenue officer
    eligibility:
    • the student should be between 21 to 30 years of age and he /she is qualifiable by writing the two tests one in which through civil services exam conducted by the upsc .the exam is of two types that is main and prelims.based on the performance of main the student is called for the interview and basing all these merit list is given in which he was allotted for the required service he /she wish to opt
    • junior grade:combined graduate level test:here the students should be aged between 18 to 27 years of age and in this is applicable for the post of junior clerks,assistants,income taxofficers,inspectors,superitendent etc.+2 candidates can also apply for the lower clerks ,7th class can also apply for it for the post lower divisions clerks or office boy etc and his height should be 175.5 above

    * Dear IRS stands for Indian Revenue Service and there are two category posts under IRS and posts are - Indian Revenue Service - Customs and Central Excise an Indian Revenue Service - IT group A and there are 24 sections post including IRS comes under Civil Service examination conducted by UPSC board means there is no separate examination conducted for this post and you will have to appear for Indian Civil Service Examination and qualify this examination, both prelims and mains then qualify interview process and other further process then you will be selected for any one of the 24 sections posts comes under IAS examination

    * Your selection will be done on the basis of your secured marks in the examination means if you will score good marks and comes under top 50 candidates then you will be selected for Indian Foreign Service and will get IAS rank and if you score less marks then you will be posted for any other post so you have to try to get good score to get a very good and high level rank under IAS

    * To apply for civil service examination, you should have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Final year pursuing candidates are also eligible to apply for IAS preliminary examination and your age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years. Relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines that is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates

    * This year UPSC Civil Service Preliminary Examination is going to be conducted at 26th May 2013 and mains examination will be conducted at 01-12-2013 so you should prepare for next year civil service examination and if you think that you should have at the post of IRS then you will have to work hard for that and you must provide at least 70% part of your time for preparation only then you will definitely get this job and other details about this exam are following as :

    * Examination Pattern : There will be following two sections that are :

    * Basic Numeracy - Number and Their Relations, Orders of Magnitude, DI, Chart, Graph, Table, Data Sufficiency
    * English Language Comprehension Skills

    Note : Qualifying in preliminary examination is mandatory and if you could not qualify in this exam then you will not be considered as eligible to appear for mains examination means every step of the selection process is essential and you also have to care about that

    * Mains Examination : There will be following papers conducted in this examination and all papers will be in conventional type pattern means no objective and multiple choice questions

    * Paper I - Essay - 200 marks, English Language, Comprehension, Precis - 100 marks = 300 marks

    Optional paper syllabus depends on the selection of the subject from above mentioned list and if you choose any one then your paper will be set on the basis of that subject means you have to qualify II separate papers on any particular subject and this may be your specialization subject of graduation also but everything depends on your choice and you should choose that one which is good and interesting for you means you should have good command over that subject then only you will be able to qualify both papers means if you choose Sociology as optional paper then you will be asked from sociology section and you should have in depth knowledge about sociology so think about it and choose right one

    Interview Process/ Personality Test : 275 marks - Oral or verbal means face to face

    dear aspirant,

    For the post of IRS(Indian Revenue Service) you have to apply for Civil Services Exam that is conducted by UPSC every year.
    For Civil Services you must have completed graduation or appearing in final year of graduation from recognized college or university.


    Eligibility Criteria For Civil Services:


    >>you must have completed or appearing in final year of graduation.
    >>your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is relaxation in upper age limit up to 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

    Friend, required education qualification for Indian Revenue Service (IRS) Examination which comes under the Civil Service Examination of UPSC:# 10+2+3 system of education in any discipline from the recognised university.# There is no bar of percentage of marks.# No any additional or desirable qualification is compulsorily needed.# No any working experience is required.Age limit required:# 20-30 years for UR# 20-33 years for OBC# 20-35 years for SC/ST# 20-40 years for PWD
