Re: What is the retirement age of an IAS officer?

    Hi friend,
IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service.
The exam is conducted by UPSC.
For this exam candidates can apply only up to 30years. but their is relaxation to SC/ST students.
After selection of candidate as IAS officer then 30years service is must for candidate to serve for public.
hence, at 60 or 62 years IAS officers get retirement.

I.A.S stands for Indian Administrative services.

The retirement age of an I.A.S Officer is 60 years.

The age was raised from 55 to 58 in 1962 and to 60 in 1998.
