    What are the rules for applying to IAS exams? Where to get the application form for same? How many attempts are allowed for BC candidates?

    hi,
    im saranya, please tell me the procedure for preparing IAS exams, and also tell me the rules for applying for it. and where to get application, then please tell me the no. of .attempts for B.C. then im in final year civil, i will complete the course if ther is any prelims for IAS exam that i can atten after my course? ...
    please give me all ideas ....

    for giving the IAS Exam, you need to be a graduate from a recognized indian university and your age should be in between 21-30 years. This is the criteria f you belong to the general category. There is a relaxation of 3 and 5 years given to the obc and sc/st students repectively.
    The number of attempts for the different categories are as follows
    General= 4 attempts
    Obc= 7 attempts
    Sc/st= no restrictions

    Dear Aspirant

    You can apply for civil service examination from UPSC official website (www.upsc.gov.in).
    Eligibility criteria:
    Graduate from any recognized university
    Minimum age 21 years and maximum 30 years for open category,3 yrs relaxation for OBC ,5 yrs relationn for SC/ST
    Number of attempts
    General:4;OBS: 7 and SC/ST No restrictions
    Preparation
    If your good in aptitude and GS as well as in your core subjects that is Civil engineering then appear for preliminary examination.Otherwise complete your graduation first take some time too understand pattern of examination ,Choose your optional wisely then plan your own strategy and give the examination
