    What is the syllabus for UPSC combined Medical exam?

    Hello sir
    Want to know regarding upsc combined medical test syllabus for the year2012 june 17
    Im bds means bachelor of dental surgery eligible for test or not

    The syllabus of UPSC CME exam is as follows:

    PAPER 1- You will take the written examination in two Papers, each Paper carrying a maximum of 250 marks.

    PAPER 2- Personality test carrying 100 marks of such of the candidates who qualify on the results of the written examination.

    Syllabus of Paper-I:

    (a) General Ability:
    Indian Society, Heritage & Culture Polity, Economy, Human Development Indices and the Development Programmes, Natural Resources, their distribution, exploitation, conservation and related issues, Basic concepts of Ecology and Environment and their impact on health and economy, Impact of changing demographic trends on health, environment and society, Natural and man made disasters and their management, Food adulteration, Food processing, food distribution, food storage and their relevance to public health; Recent trends in Science and Technology

    (b) General Medicine (General Medicine including Cardiology, Neurology, Dermatology and Psychiatry)

    Paper II Maximum (Code No. 2) Marks : 250
    (a) Surgery 40 questions
    (b) Gynaecology & 40 questions
    Obstetrics
    (c) Preventive & Social 40 questions
    Medicine
    Total questions in Paper II = 120 (40 Surgery, 40 Gynaecology & Obstetrics and 40 Preventive & Social Medicine).Wish you all the best,

    dear friend,

    sorry to say that BDS graduates are not eligible for UPSC CMS exam.
    in CMS exam only MBBS candidates are eligible to apply .

    Syllabus for combined Medical exam

    You must have completed MBBS Degree from a recognized university The candidate age should between 25 to 32 years.

    hi,
    To join combined medical service exam,
    You must have passed mbbs.
    Final year student are also eligible.
    Age limit is 24 to 32 years.
    You must be indian citizen.

    CMS Stands for Combined Medical Services and this Examination Conducted by Union Public Service Commission .

    Age Limits :

    The Applicant age must not have attained the age of 32 years and Upper age relaxation
    will applicable for sc/st candidates and obc candidates .

    Educational Qualifications:

    The Applicant should be passed the written and practical parts of the final M.B.B.S. Course from recogniezed University .

    Examination Pattern for Combined Medical Service Examination :-

    -General Ability
    -General Medicine
    -Surgery
    -Gynaecology and Obstetrics
    -Preventive and Social Medicine
