    UPSC civil services exam contains 3 stages prelims, mains and interview
    prelims - 2 papers general studies and CSAT
    (1) general studies syllabus:
    current events of national and international importance.
    History of India and Indian National Movement.
    Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World.
    Indian Polity and Governance - Con-stitution, Political System, PanchayatiRaj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.
    Economic and Social Development -Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector initiatives, etc.
    General issues on EnvironmentalEcology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change - that do not require subject specialisation
    General Science.
    (2)
    Paper II- (200 marks) Duration: Two hours
    Comprehension Logical reasoning and analytical ability
    Decision-making and problem- solving
    General mental ability Interpersonal skills communication skills; including Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.)
    (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. - Class X level)
    English Language Comprehension skills (Class X level).

    There are different syllabus for different posts.
    For checking the syllabus of different posts log on to
    www.upsc.gov.in this is official website of upsc.
    Upsc exam test the candidate intelligence and other things of candidate.
    You need to prepare yourself for upsc exam before the upsc exam are held.

    the syllabus of IAS is mentioned below..
    The IAS exam has Three Stages
    -Preliminary
    -Mains
    -Interview
    and For The GS the syllabus is
    -Current Affairs
    -Economics
    -Geography
    -Constitution
    -General Science
    and in the paper of CSAT the exam is on Aptitude so you must read TS Aggarwal book of
    Aptitude.
