My advice for you is that you should visit UPSC website regularly this will enable you to be updated on the day to day activity and you can also contact them

Previous year i.e. in 2011 UPSC prelims was held on 12th June. The result came out in the middle of August. So calculatig this we can expect the result at the end of July or in the beginning of August this year.

It generally takes 90 to 120 working days for the UPSC to declare the results of the exams conducted by it.

-Soon after the results of the preliminary exams are declared,notifications of the mains exams will be made available.
The MAINS EXAMS will be conducted on varying dates in the month of October & November,,according to the subjects chosen !!


- You can avail all notifications of the declaration of results of the Preliminary exams on the official website of the UPSC :: www.upsc.gov.in
Once the results are declared,you can view them using your examination roll number and date of birth.
-The weekly newspaper EMPLOYMENT NEWS is another source from where you can come to know the exact date of declaration of results.

-The results are ought to be declared very soon.
Hence,keep your preperations up for the Mains,as you wont get much time once the prelims results are declared.

Friend civil service preliminary exam is conducted on 20/5/2012.

Generally UPSC declare the result of preliminary exam in the first week of August and same probability in this year.

So you should keep some patience for the result.

During this period you should not waste your time and start the preparation of UPSC exam.

It is not more time for main exam after the result declaration.

Mains exam will be held on 5/10/2012.
