Combined Defence Service examination is conducted by UPSC two times in a year and the examination will be held in the month of February or September . February application forms shall be available in the month of Oct or November and September application forms shall be available in the month of June or July .

Combined Defence Service Examination , 2012 ::

CDS I examination was already completed on 12 / February / 2012

CDS II examination will be held on 16 / September / 2012

Combined Defence Service Examination is conducted for admission into the following defence service i.e Military Academy , Naval Academy , Air force Academy , Officer Training Academy (SSC-Men ) , Officer Training Academy ( SSC-Women ) .

Military Academy :-

~~ Those who have finished or pursing in the final year of graduate degree with any discipline from a reputed Institution .

~~ You must have a age limits of 19 - 24 years and No upper age limits .

Naval Academy :-

~~ Those who have finished or pursing in the final year of B.Sc degree with Mathematics OR Physics from a reputed Institution .

~~ You must have a age limits of 19 - 22 years and No upper age limits .

~~ Engineering candidate may also eligible to apply for Naval Academy .

Air force Academy :-

~~ Those who have finished or pursing in the final year of graduate degree with Mathematics and Physics from a reputed Institution OR Engineering degree .

~~ You must have a age limits of 19 - 23 years and No upper age limits .

Officer Training Academy (SSC-Men) :-

~~ One Should have a completed minimum education qualification of graduate degree of a reputed Institution .

the cds exam is held bi annually in a year.

first time held the exam in the month July. the notification is published in he month of February.

second time exam is held in the month of the September and notification is published in the month of the June/July.

the qualification is required is different different each category:-

For the indian military academy graduation in any stream form the recognized university.

For the officer training academy graduation in any stream form the recognized university.

For the indian air force graduation in science stream form the recognized university.

For the naval graduation in science stream form the recognized university.

age limit for the cds exam:-

Indian Maltery Aecedmay age limit is: 19 to 24 Years

For Officer Training Academy age limit: 19 to 25 years

Naval age limit: 19 to 22 years

The UPSC has already published the advertisement for (Combined Defence Service) CDS examination. The advertisement was published on 02nd june 2012 and the last date was 02nd july, 2012. Well dear cds exam is conducted two times in a year by upsc named as cds-1 and cds-2.
Cds-1:this exam is conducted by upsc in the month of february.
Cds-2:this exam is conducted generally in the month of august by upsc.
To apply for cds exam you should have got a graduation degree from a recognised university.
Age limit:
indian navy-19 to 22
indian airforce-19 to 23
indian military academy-19 to 24 years.

The CDSE exam is conducted by the UPSC and the exam is conducted twice in a year.
The notifications of the exam are released in the month of the June and the exam is conducted in the month of September.
The second notifications are released in the month of the October and the exam is conducted in the month of February.

The eligibility criteria for CDS Exam are as follows:
Nationality:
The candidate must be Indian.

Age Limit: Male candidates (Unmarried) of age between
(i) For IMA: 19-24 years.
(ii) For Indian Naval Academy: 19-22 years.
(iii) For Air Force Academy: 19-23 years.
(iv) For OTA: Male candidates (married or unmarried) of age between 19-25 years.
(v) For OTA: Unmarried Women of age between 19-24 years.

Educational Qualification:
(i) For I.M.A. and OTA: Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
(ii) For Indian Naval Academy: Degree in Engineering.
(iii) For Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.
