Hello there..
>> While forming the structure for the National Defence Academy examinations,it was assumed that girls could not deal with the hardships of the training and regime followed thereafter the exams.
>> Hence, girls were excluded from this examination and also only unmarried male candidates within age limits of 16.5 To 19 yrs were allowed to feature in the examination.
>> Yes,I do agree that it was not the best decision made and bias did happen. However,we are no one to comment upon this as the decision has been made by a panel of experienced members. We are to abide by it.
>> If you are a girl and you are interested in joining defence, then you can successfully do so by giving and qualifying the Combined Defence Service-Officers Training Academy exams.
>> Therefore I would recommend you to start looking at goals which are very achievable, instead of pointing fingers at other thing, which are not in our control.
>> For details regarding either the NDA or the CDS exams, visit the official website of the UPSC :: www.upsc.gov.in !!
all the best.

Hi friend,
Hope that you are in good health and good state of mind.
Well no girls are not allowed to take NDA exam and there is no as particular reason behind
it.
But there are other exams that are for girls.
Some of them are:
NCC Entry women :
Only Graduate with 50% aggregate marks and 'B' Grade in C Certificate Exam
You should be between 19 to 25 yrs
SSC(Technical Women):
You should have engineering degree in notified branches .
You should be between 20 to 27 yrs
SSC(Non Technical Women)
You must have done Graduation or Post Graduation.
19 to 25 yrs for Graduates 21 to 27 Yrs for Post Graduates
So,if you want to join Army, then go for these exams.
Best of Luck!
