Re: Will preparation of CLAT help me in Civil Services examination?

Dear there is a big difference between Civil Service Examination and CLAT - Common Law Admission Test because CLAT is for those who have passed Higher secondary examination but ICS is for those who have been graduated from a recognized universities that means it comes on higher level when CLAT is nothing in front of Civil Service Examination and remember one thing is that there would be no more subjects relating to Civil Service Exam in CLAT test and subjects of CLAT test are - English Comprehension, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Elementary Mathematics/ Numerical Ability, Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning so all these subjects are somewhere related to the civil service exam but not so much because you will find out low level questions on these subjects in CLAT test but high level questions will be asked in civil service exam so we may say that preparation of CLAT examination may give you complete basic knowledge about these subjects then you will get support in preparation of UPSC exam

You can get same subjects in SSC and Banking and Railway Exams that are asked in UPSC exam so there are so many competitive examinations which are relating to UPSC civil service exam so you can prepare for CLAT test to get more ideas but when your main target is for civil service examination then what do you need to appear for Law examination because you do not have to go in that stream then why are you forcing yourself for something that is not related to your target

I would like to suggest you that if you want to become IAS Officer then you should focus only on this examination because if you will begin your preparation with your target then you will focus only on that and if you choose any other way then your mind will think about different parts that will make you confused too much and you will get nothing in preparation so you should complete your graduation first then join any good coaching institute and then prepare for civil service examination

    All the best
