Re: Required percentage in graduation to be eligible for UPSC exam.

Dear for your kind information that this is the best speciality of UPSC board that the board never requires percentage marks from the applicants for any exam means you don't need to have any fixed percentage marks or criteria in your 10th or 12th or Degree or PG degree to apply for any UPSC exam means if you have only that qualification certificate or degree of that exam which is required for application so that you may apply for that exam and the example is following :

Eligibility for UPSC Civil Service exam 2013 :

Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and if the candidate is pursuing final year or semester of the degree then also he/she may apply for this exam

Age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates

As you have seen that there is no percentage marks required in the degree to apply for this exam so that if you have completed your bachelor's degree with 40% marks then also you may apply for this exam

Dates for upcoming UPSC Civil Service ExaM 2013 :

Start date for online application - 02-02-2013

Last date for online application - 04-03-2013

Date for UPSC civil service preliminary exam - 19-05-2013

For more details and information you should visit at www.upsc.gov.in

    Hello

There is no minimum percentage required for the UPSC exams, only the pass marks is enough to apply for the exams.
You just only need to have pass the exam, all the exams that is conducted by the UPSC does not have any percentage issue.
Hence be free regarding the percentage ,and try hard to clear the exams as it is not easy to crack those exams.

    HI

friend in upsc exam, they had not mentioned minimum % should the candidate score.

now a days in any company ,they want 60% scorer in bachelor.so don't neglect that, concentrate on studies and try to clear all subjects as upsc does not take the candidates who has backlogs..

so make ensure you could not left with any backlogs.

upsc conduct various exam to recruit candidate into govt services.

    exam like NDA,CDS,CIVIL SERVICE,I.E.S,IFS,SCRA. etc.

these exams based on educational qualification and other requirements.

in all upsc exams, first stage is
    1)written exam
2)interview of the short listed candidate
    3)medical test for selected candidate

If you are 10+2 passed then you can go for following UPSC exam:

    1.NDA/NA entrance exam:

    >>Age limit :16.5 to 19 years

    2.SCRA exam:

    >>17-21 years

If you have bachelor's degree then you can go for the following UPSC exams:

    1.Civil services examinations

    >>the age limit is 21-30 years

    2.Combined defence services examinations.

    >>Age limit is 19-24 years.

    3.Central police force examinations:

    >>Age limit is 20-25 years.

Note: Relaxations applicable to Obc and SC/ST respectively.

    Hope the information helps you.
