    Dear friend,

No you are not eligible to appear for the exam as you are currently 2nd year btech student. That means you have not completed your graduation exam and hence not eligible for the exam.

You can apply for the exam after you complete your Btech or also during your 4th year term.

so you will have to wait approx for 2 years.

Here below are the eligibility criteria required for UPSC exam:-

    >> All the students who have completed their graduation are eligible for the exam.

    >> Those who are in final year can also sit for the exam.

    >> Also it does not matter you belong to which stream you can appear for the exam.

    >> Percentage has nothing to do with the exam. you just need to be passed in your exam.

    AGE LIMITS FOR VARIOUS CATEGORIES:-

    GENERAL- 21 to 30 yrs

    OBC- 21 to 33 yrs

    SC/ST- 21 to 35 yrs

    PH- 21 to 40 yrs

It does not mean that you have to worry that you can not appear for the exam right now. Instead utilise your these 2 years in preparing hard for the exam.
