    And this exam is conducted by the " Union Public Service Commission " ..

    And this exam is conducted every year for the recruitment of the various services like

    <> Indian Foreign Service

    <> Indian Administrative Services

    <> Group A and Group B Central Services ..

    To be eligible you must have a minimum of
    GRADUATION from a recognized university

    It might be of the Any University

    And you must be an Indian Citizen

    Indian Foreign Services comes under the Civil services of the Indian Government .So the entrance exam for this service is also same and is called Civil services examination.UPSC conducts this entrance exam once every year for the different services like :

    1.Indian Police services

    2.Indian Administrative services

    3.Indian Foreign services

    4.Indian Revenue services

    This entrance has three stages :

    >>Civil services aptitude test

    >>Main examination

    >>Personal interview

    The basic requirement for this exam is as below :

    1.Academic qualification:

    >>Bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university in any discipline .IF you are in final year then also you can give this exam .

    2.Age limit :

    >>21-30 years for the general candidates .

    >>Upper age relaxed upto three years for the obc and five years to sc/st candidates.

    3.Nationality: Indian.

    dear aspirant,

    you can become IFS(Indian Foreign Services) officer through Civil Services Exam. It is UPSC which conduct Civil Services exam every year.

    Civil Services exam constitutes three parts:
    1. CSAT(Prelims)
    2. Mains
    3. Interview

    for Civil Services you must have completed or appearing in final year of graduation degree in any discipline from recognized college or university.
    your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.and you must have attained the minimum age on same date and you have not attained the upper age on similar date.

    for Civil Services exam there is also limit in number of attempts upto 4 for General category, 7 for OBC category and there is no limit of number of attempts for SC/St category.

    Friend, please note that# IFS stands for Indian Foreign Service.# IFS (Indian Foreign Service), IPS (Indian Police Service), IAS (Indian Administration Service), IRS (Indian Revenue Service) and many more are comes under Civil Service Examination.# In order to join IFS, candidate must have to crack the Civil Service Examination.# Required minimum educational qualification is graduation in any discipline from any recognised university.# Age limit required: * 21-30 years for Unreserved/General category * 21-33 years for OBC category * 21-35 years for SC/ST category * 21-40 years for Physically Handicapped category# There is provision of fixed certain number of permissible attempts for Civil Service Examination are: * Unlimited number of attempts for SC/ST category * Only FOUR attempts fixed for General category * Only SEVEN attempts fixed for OBC category# Civil Services Examination is conducted every year UPSC.     Dear There,

    Candidates who wish to join Indian Foreign Services have to take Civil Services Examination which is conducted by the UPSC every year. There are some eligibility criteria a candidate must fulfill to take this examination.

    ## The eligibility criteria a candidate must have for Civil Services Examination are:

    * Passed Graduation in any stream or pursuing Graduation in final year.

    * Citizenship should be Indian.

    A subject of Nepal or Bhutan can also apply

    * Age for General category must be in between 21-30 years, Where OBC has been granted 3 years relaxation in upper age limit and SC/ST is granted 5 years relaxation.

    ## The examination is conducted in three stages:

    * Prelims

    * Mains

    * Interview

    Candidates are posted on the basis of their rank in the merit list.
