    There is no best medium as such.You should apply only in the medium in which you are proficient.There is no extra preference for any language English or Hindi.So it is an equal field for both.you apply for only that medium which you can answer and prepare well.

    for giving the upsc exam, the medium is not important. The knowledge you have carries the best opportunity for you to succeeed in the upsc exam. therefore it is advisable that in whichever medium you are studying so far, just carry on with it and feel comfortable enough to give the exam in that medium only.

    It is nice that you want to join civil services preparation. Therefore a medium is necessary to do civil services exam preparation.

    Today every exam is conducted in English.

    Civil services exam give importance of English also.

    All stages of civil services exam is conducted in English medium.

    If anyone give Interview of civil services in English, then it Will be impressive as compared to other medium.

    According to my view,

    you have to start Preparation in English medium.

    Friend, medium of examination does not matter. Only your knowledge and proficiency matter. You should only that medium in which you can perform well and do answer well. For this, you should opt only that medium in which you have studied earlier in school level as well as college level. If you opt only that medium in which you are well versed, then it will be more comfortable for you.You have to make concrete strategy, proper planning, time management, put cent percent hard work and show full dedication & strong determination for the preparation for Civil Service Examination.

    Dear both Hindi and English Mediums are the best to prepare for civil service examination because UPSC board accept both mediums and you should choose that medium in which you are much proficient means if you have completed your all academic class in Hindi Medium then you must choose Hindi as your preparation medium and examination medium because you have good command over Hindi and better than English Language but if you are already a English Medium student then you do not need to choose Hindi as your medium because you understands everything in English and better than Hindi language that is why you should choose English as your examination medium

    Dear Medium does not matter for selection, preparation always matters for selection that is why you should not worry about medium of examination and prepare hard for this exam because if you get selected in prelims then you will get the chance to appear for mains examination and after qualifying all 7 papers of mains examination you will be called for interview so this thing is more compulsory than selecting a medium of examination so care about your preparation and get selection

    medium is of secondary impotance., your primary aim must be to score maximum marks possible.
    there is no extra weightage given to any medium in civil services exam.
