Only thing is they need to apply in any one of the engineering subject i.e., as listed by you. >>Mechanical >>Electrical >>Electronics & Telecommunication >>Civil. Same with the case of marine engineering too. Or did UPSC mentioned anywhere explicitly that Marine engineers are not eligible for IES exam. If yes please post the details as proof regarding same. Just for the sake of authenticity. I will be glad to know if I missed that point while checking UPSC notifications. Regards
We also find such irrelevant answers here and there, factually it is not acceptable but some times we do accept because of some useful points in them which may be useful for some other serious aspirants. Please don't follow such members. Some or the other day they will be penalized.
