The Full Form of CDS is Combined Defense Services Exam. This exam is conducted every year twice in the months of February and September by the UPSC [Union Public Service Commission].

This Examination is the second exam conducted by the UPSC which offers candidates to join Indian Defense in the following wings :

1) Naval Academy

2) Indian Militant Academy

3) Air Force Academy

4) Officer`s Training Academy

All those candidates who fulfill the required qualifications for the CDS Exam are eligible to appear in the exam :

* The candidate must have completed graduation in any stream from any recognized college/university.

* The candidate must have completed graduation with maths as one of the main subjects.

* Candidates in final year of graduation can also appear for the CDS-II Exam.

* The age limit for CDS Exam is 19-25 years.

* Both male and female candidates can appear for the CDS Exam.

* The candidate must be mentally and physically fit.

* The candidate must be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or a subject of Bhutan.

So , if you have completed B.Tech in Biotechnology and your age lie under the required age criteria, then you can apply for the CDS Exam.

Yes your are eligible for the CDS Exam this exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission and this examination is conducted by twice per year.(CDS-I and CDS-II).CDS have a Four Academy there are

Hi Aspirant

Yes you can write the common Defence services exams

As you are a b.tech graduate and you are fully eligible to write the exam

Upsc is conducting the exam two times in a year

For the exam you have to pass two stages

First would be a written test of objective type

And then their will be a ssb of seven days and the most difficult task

The ssb in which the most of the students failed

You need to work very much hard if you want to clear the ssb

For the Exam The Following Qualifications Required:

~ The candidate should be pass in graduation for IMA And OTA

~ Just pass in the graduation with pass marks

~ Final year Students are also allowed for the exam

~ The candidate should be pass with physics and maths at 12th level and graduation

Age Required:

~ The age for the IMA 19-24

~ The age for the OTA Exam 19-25

~ And for the IAF 19-23

~ For the Indian Naval exam 19-22

the basic eligibility for upsc exams is graduation ,so answer to your question is yes you are eligible for upsc exam CDS if your age is below 25 year . for more info please go through the data below:[

Eligibility criteria for CDS:

1.graduation or engineering from a recognized university.
2.final year students can also eligible to apply for this exam.
3.age limit 21 to 25 years.
4.OBC and SC/ST category gets age relaxation of 3 years and 5 years respectively.


Also,
1. For IMA(Indian Military Academy) And OTA(Officer's Training Academy) student should have passed Graduation from a recognized university . And for the Indian Air Force Exam the candidate should be pass in Graduation( B.SC With Physics or Maths )

CDS Examination is conducted twice in a year.

There are three type of tests are there

2)Interview

3)Medical

ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATION

For IMA and officers :-Degree of a recognized university.

For Indian Navel academy: A Degree in Engineering for CDSE and Degree in Engineering or B.Sc. ( Physics or Mathematics) and i.e for NCC entry.
For Air Force Academy :ADegree of recognized University ( with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level ) or Bachelor of Engineering.


AGE LIMIT

For Indian Army Academy:-19 to 24years.

For Indian Navel Academy:-19 to 22years.

For Indian Air force:-19 to 23 years.

yes a person can apply for CDS examination,but there are some eligibility criteria:
must have physics,mathematics in 12th standard and

For Indian Army, there is no such requirements and graduates from any discipline are eligible irrespective of the combination of subject he had in the +2 level.
For Indian Navy, the aspirant must have graduated with a B.Sc degree or Engineering.
The minimum eligible age for all the three branches of the Defense Force of India is 21 years but as far as the maximum age limit is concerned, it varies.

Indian Army - 24 years
Indian Air Force - 23 years
Indian Navy - 22 years

upsc doesnot restrict any candidate to appear in the CDSE, any student on the basis of GRADUATION SPECIALISATION.


ANY STREAM PERSON CAN GIVE THE EXAM PROVIDED THAT HE FULFILL FOLLOWING SOME CRITERIA

1. INDIAN NATIONALITY OR SUBJECT OF INDIAN NATIONALITY
2MUST BE GRADUATED FROM RECOGNISED UNIVERSITY WITH 55% AGGREGATE ATLEAST OR ABOVE.
3. AGE LIMIT SHOULD BE WITHIN 20-25 YEARS AS THERE IS NO RELAXATION OF AGE FOR ANY CATEGORY IT IS UNIFORMLY APPLICABLE IRRESPECTIVE OF CATEOGORY(i.e OBC,ST/SC)
