Re: Am I eligible for UPSC CPF exam at the age of 36 years being an ex-serviceman? Dear Frd, I hope u r frustrated enough after getting the above comments. Cheer up man, all the above statements they have given u is totally wrong, Civil people don't know anything much about reservations and age relaxation of an ex servicemen, I am aware of the ex servicemen age relaxation by virtue of me too serving in Indian navy. U have age relaxation of 3 yrs from ur date of release from Navy for appearing in group A & B posts. For further clarification u can refer the OM issued by ministry of personnel and training.

Re: Am I eligible for UPSC CPF exam at the age of 36 years being an ex-serviceman? Sir, -Sorry but you will not be eligible to apply for either the Civil Service Exams or the Central Police Force exams,on completion of your term in Navy. -By the time you retire,as you have mentioned, you will be 36 years of age,and you will clearly cross the upper age limits for applying these exams. -Mentioned below is the complete data regarding the AGE DIRECTIONS for these couple of examinations- # CIVIL SERVICE EXAMS # --* You must be 21 to 30 years of Age if you belong to General Category. However, the upper age limit is relaxable by, 3 years for the OBC candidates. 5 years for the SC/ST candidates. 5 years for the ex-servicemen. --*Besides,you must have also completed your Graduation or equivalent and hold an Indian citizenship. # CPF EXAMS # --*You must be 20 to 25 years of age. However, the upper age limit is relaxable by, 3 years for the OBC candidates. 5 years for the SC/ST candidates. 5 years for the ex-servicemen. --*Also,you must have completed your graduation,or equivalent from a recognized university and hold a citizenship to India. CLEARLY,YOU DO NO FULFIL THE AGE CRITERIA,EVEN AFTER CONSIDERING THE AGE RELAXATIONS FOR EX-SERVICEMEN. HENCE,YOU CAN APPLY ONLY IF YOU OPT FOR VOLUNTARY RETIREMENT BEFORE YOUR TERM EXPIRES,ALTHOUGH IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED. YOU CAN OPT FOR MANY OTHER SERVICES ELSEWHERE. All The Best !!
Re: Am I eligible for UPSC CPF exam at the age of 36 years being an ex-serviceman? NO, you are NOT eligible for the year 2012 cpf examination as after substracting 5 years relaxation from your current age it is (36-5=31years) which is not within 20-25 years as on closing date of application for CPF-2012. Maximum 5 years for Civilian Central Government Servants or exservicemen of armed forces.
