For a 12th pass student there are only two exams NDA and SCRA exams.

The eligibility criteria for NDA is:-

He must be in between 16.5-19 years.
The candidate must be an indian citizen.
The candidate must be an unmarried male.
The candidate must be passed/appeared in 12th Science with a recognized university.
The candidate must be medically fit.


You should have all these criteria fulfilled to apply for NDA

Selection process:-
1.Written test - objective.
2.Ssb interview.- vocal .
3.Medical test.

The written paper consists:-

1. MATHEMATICS :- 300 marks.
2. GENERAL ABILITY:- 600 marks.

If you want to apply for SCRA exam then you should have the eligibility criteria as:-

The age limit for the SCRA exam is 17 to 21 years.
Only unmarried male candidate is eligible for this exam.
Female candidate are not eligible for the exam.
He should have passed 12th from the recognized university with science.

You should have all these criteria fulfilled to apply for SCRA exams.

There are various exams conducted by SCRa but you can apply for NDA and SCRA and rest all of them are for Graduate students.

List of exams conducted by UPSC:-

Civils services -min 21-29 years
Indian forest services- 21-30 years
Combined defense services- 19-24 years
Geologist's Examination- 21-30 years
Combined engineering services- 21-29 years
Combined medical services- 22-32 years
Indian economic services/statistics services- 21-30 years
Stenographers- 18-27 years


These are the various age limits that you can apply so you can try for it.

You can't apply for IAS or IPS post as they need Graduate students.

• NDA is an entrance exam for entering into the defence sector.
• For that, you have passed 12th from an recognised board.

1.National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination
2.Special Class Railway Apprentices Exam

Eligibility conditions for both of these exams are different.
1. Eligibility for NDA Exam-
For Army Wing of National Defence Academy : - 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education

in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
(b) Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status :
Only unmarried male candidates born not
earlier than 2nd July, 1993 and not later
than 1st January, 1996 are eligible. ( For 2011)

YOU CAN APPLY FOR NDA EXAM CONDUCTED BY UPSC TWICE IN A YEAR.
THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THIS EXAM IS :
CANDIDATE MUST BE AB INDIAN
CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE BEEN PASSED 12TH STD OR SHOULD BE APPEARING.
HIS AGE SHOULD BE 16 AND A HALF -19 YEARS
NOTIFICATIONS OF NDA EXAM WILL BE IN MONTH OD DECEMBER AND JUNE
AND EXAMS WILL BE CONDUCTED IN THE MONTH OF APRIL AND SEPT.
