Candidate should have completed graduation or engineering from a college under a recognized university. 2. Candidate appearing in final year can also apply for the upsc exam. 3. Age limit for upsc exam is 21 to 30 years. 4. Candidate belonging to OBC and SC/ST category gets an age relaxation of 3 and 5 years respectively. Age limit is below : 21-30 for general category 21-33 for OBC category 21-35 for SC/ST category 21-40 for physically handicapped . Number of attempts ::4 attempts for general category ::7 attempts for OBC category ::no limit for SC/ST category to know more you can log on to www.upsc.gov.in the main eligibility to apply for upsc exams is graduation in any subject form a recognized university under UGC and the age of the applicant should be between 21-30 years . upsc conducts many exams every year such as NDA,SRCA,CDS,IAS,CPF,IPS,IFS,IRS,etc NDA and SRCA are 12th based exams whereas CDS,IAS,CPF,IPS,IFS,IRS,etc are graduation based exam under upsc Yes you can get the previous years question papers of the upsc exams, just visit the official website of upsc, www.upsc.gov.in and download the previous years question papers of the upsc exams. Tips For Preparation: 1. Manage your time table and keep your self calm and cool. 2. Go ahead according to UPSC syllabus. 3. Read 6th to 12th NCERT books. 4. Increase your GK and End English. 5. Keep reading newspapers and magazines daily. 6. Try to solve previous year papers. with the advent of computer technology upsc now has started taking online applications along with offline or postal applications. For online applications you will have to log on to www.onlineupsc.nic.in where you can fill the form following the instruction given there .the online form filling consist of two parts namely registration part I and registration part II. After filling the you can easily make submit. with the advent of computer technology upsc now has started taking online applications along with offline or postal applications . in case you do not get the hall ticket by post you can log on to www.upsc.gov.in and get your hall ticket downloaded making use of date of birth and registration id . to know more you can log on to www.upsc.gov.in examination pattern PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION Paper I : 200 Marks Economic and Social Development - Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, General Issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change, General Science Current Events of National and International Importance, History of India and Indian National Movement Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the world Indian Polity and Governance - Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues Paper II: 200 marks Comprehension, Interpersonal skills including communication skills, Logical reasoning and analytical ability, Decision-making and problem solving, General mental ability, Basic numeracy , English language comprehension . Dear Aspirant you should know that there is not any fixed syllabus for each of those students who have applied for this exam after passing various subjects means you are a medical graduate then you will not get any special syllabus by the UPSC board because UPSC announced the same syllabus for preliminary exam in all over india for every applicant and you will have to prepare according to that syllabus and if you think about your mains syllabus then your mains syllabus would be depended at your subjects means which subject you have chosen for your mains exam. I have attached the complete syllabus of Civil Services Preliminary Exam 2013 for both prelims and CSAT paper and you will get the complete syllabus of general studies section also in attachment so please download and prepare well for exam to be qualified.
