first thing is IPS is not a exam, this is a post which is filled by CSAT exam, so to become an IPS officers you appear the csat exam.

After cracking this exam you can become an IPS officer on the basis of your merit is the CSAT exam.

CSAT exam is the three stage exam

1. Prelim
2. Mains
3. Interview

prelim exam are the basic exam then 2nd satge is mains exam only prelim cleared candidate are eligible
3rd nad last stage is Interview, only those candidate who qualified prelim and ,main both the exam

After clearing above three stage you become an IPS officer.

only those candidate are eligible this exam whose age in between 21 to 30 year and he/she complete or appearing the last year of their graduation

1)Normally government related forms related to education are available in the different POST OFFICES available in our country,you can get the form through any post office through out the country.

2)There is advantage of online form application,you can apply for the exam through online.

There are stages of selection of a candidate for the civil services

Each stage is a knock out state and will have to clear each stage to go the next level.

Paper-I (General Studies, Objective Type, 2 hours duration, 200 marks)
