IPS : indian police Service or a High level job in Police department for simplicity. to get this job in Indian government What you have to doo..? you have to appear in the examination called UPSC CSE(civil service examination) . This UPSC CSE is a common entrance examination to get placed in to services like IAS/IPS/IFS/IRS/etc., services which are upto 23 ok next who are eligible to write this examination.? eligible candidates are those who complete their degree from any discipline it may be engineering , It may be arts, It may Commerce, It may management studies what ever discipline background students are eligible to write in this examination. as you are doing Bachelor degree in some subject why not .? you are for sure eligible for this entrance examination. History of India and Indian National Movement. Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World.Indian Polity and Governance - Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.Economic and Social Development -Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector initiatives, etc.General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change - that do not require subject specialisation BOOKS:-NCERT BOOKS FROM CLASS 4TO 12 standard,read newspaper regularily,purchase some correspondance course,learn your graduation books for your ELECTIVE subject. It's nice to know that you are BA (Hons.) in Political Science. It will help you much for the preparation of Preliminary Exam and Interview. Following are the steps:- (1) For English Paper prepare Grammar portion as studied in class X. (2) For GK learn NCERT Books from class VIII to XII. (3) For Optional Subjects learn degree level books. Don't use many books for single topic, just clear your concept. (4) Last and important point be Honest your-self, for preparation. Good- Luck...!!!
