dear friend, your friends are somewhat correct SSC exam is little easier to qualify the fact lies as there are lot many posts for which SSC organises a combined exam for various states. but for bank there is only one vacancy for which you can compete.
you wish to join government services than SSC is the best option as you will get a government job with lot of perks

HELLO FRIEND,Staff Selection committee the exam conducted by it usually offers posts such as teachers in government institutions like schools. I think SCC (staff selection commission) is the best bcoz scc exam is very easy to clear the exam and you can get easily govt. job through scc.
in scc only have two parts one written and second one is skill test if you clear both test then you can get definetly govt. job without any paying money.............

So, be practice, work hard, struggle and doing study................according to your post...............thnks...............

SSC i.e. Staff Selection Commission and IBPS i.e. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection are the different govt. bodies of India.

SSC conducts exams for general clerk posts for all Graduate or +2 students. And IBPS conducts exams for Clerk in Bank or PO in Bank.

SSC also conducts exam for the Junior Engineering Posts which is not conducted by IBPS. IBPS specially conducts exams for Different Banks in India.

If you qualify IBPS and get good score then Different Banks call you for the Interviews.

It is upon your own preparation and your own efforts that which exam is easy for you.

You should see Eligibility criteria is also that for which exam you should have to prepare.

i think ssc cgl jobs which provide u with posts such as income tax inspector,costom inspector r many times better than po in every field whether it may be salary and perks or job satisfaction.
so as far as difficulty level is concerned ssc cgl is definitely harder to crack because many po try their luck in cgl but no inspector in my knowledge have ever appeared for ibps

Yes there is lot of jobs offered by ssc and you are trying for bank po it doesnt matter that you get devoted to it you should try some of the ssc exams to whom you are eligible. We should always try what can comes in our hand we never knows.
