yes my friend you can go for C.D.S exam as acc. to your birth date you will be 24 yrs of age so you can try
for C.D.S.E

here is the eligibility criteria

age limit...
from 19 yrs to 25 yrs of age

education
must be a passed graduate from a recognized university

Sorry to say dear you can't appear in CDS exam according to your dob bcoz its criteria is 19-23 yrs. And according to this age criteria your age out.

CDS (combined defence service) exam conducted by upsc

Please see the age criteria for CDS:

For IMA (Indian Military Academy)

Must born between 2nd January, 1990 to 1st January, 1995

For Indian Naval Academy

Must born between 2nd January, 1992 to 1st January, 1995

For Air Force Academy

Must born between 2nd January, 1991 to 1st January, 1995

For OTA (Officer Training Academy)

Must born 2nd January, 1989 to 1st January, 1995

So you are not eligible for CDS exam 2013

NO YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE CDSE EXAM.

The CDSE exam stands for Combined Defence Service Examination-the exam is conducted for the entry in to the four academy.
a)IMA-Indian Military Academy-the age limit required is 19 to 24 years(but at the time of commencement of the course).
b)OTA -Officers Training Academy-the age limit is 19 to 25 years(at the time of commencement of the course).
c)AFA-Air Force Academy-the age limit is the 19 to 23 years(at the time of commencement of the course).
d)NA-Naval Academy-the age limit is 19 to 22 years(at the time of commencement of the course).

Now you must understand that any entry in any academy,it nearly takes year time to start the course from the date of applying for the course.As the selection process of three stages,hence it is necessary that you apply for the exam,keeping 1 year in hand,so that you will be within the required age limit,when the course starts.

That is if applying for the IMA,then your age must be between 18 to 24 year and not even 1 day more,so that when the course starts you remain within the criteria.

Now your age is now 24 years 6 months and you will be of 25 years 6 months when the course began,hence you are not applicable for the CDSE.

Hello Dear,

CDS stands for Combined defense services. this exam is conduct by UPSC twice in a year.
At the time of next CDS notification your are will be 25 year. then you are eligible for only Officer Training Academy

Eligibility Criteria For CDS is

candidate should be completed graduation.
candidate who are appearing final year exam are also eligible
For air-force candidate should be completed graduation with subject MATHS and PHYSICS

Age Limit

Indian Military Academic 19 to 24
For Officer Training Academy 19 to 25
For Naval 19 to 22
Indian air force 19 to 23

according to your age now 24 years so you can apply for the CDS EXAM.


but there are some rules and you should have to follow these rules.

> you should have to passed graduate from the recognized university.

> you should be an indian.

> age should be 19 to 25 years.

> there is no relaxation in age for any category.

> girls and boys both can apply this exam.


if you have these requirement then you can apply for CDS EXAM.

the eligibility of cds exam is
the person must be graduate
the person must be indian citizen
age limits is
general-21 to 30 years
obc-21 to 33 years
sc/st-21 to 35 years
so is you are belonging to sc/st category you can appear for cds exam
