AS stands for Indian Administrative Service.
This exam is conducted by U.P.S.C.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-
-- You must have completed your graduation from recognized university.
-- Candidates passed their graduation from Technical/Professional courses are also eligible to
apply.
-- Final year candidates can also apply.
-- Only passing mark is enough to appear the exam.
-- You must be an Indian citizen.
-- You must be physically fit for applying in the examination.
-- Your age should not be less than 21 years & not exceed 30 years.
-- But for SC,ST, O.B.C. category upper age limit relaxation is available.
-- For SC/ST- 5 years of age relaxation. i.e. age limit 21-35 years
-- For O.B.C- 3 years of age relaxation. i.e. age limit 21-33 years
-- For open category candidates 4 attempts, for O.B.C 7 attempts & unlimited attempts for SC/ST
candidates are available.

1) prime exam
2) main exam
3) interview

main exam - 2000
interview - 200 marks

TO become an IAS you have to Appear in UPSC EXAMINATION and must be graduate from a recoginiaed University

1.A graduate or a final year candidate irrespective of caste/tribe having minimum pass marks in graduation from a recognized university in any discipline can write IAS exam.conducted by UPSC.

2.The age eligibility for Gen: 21-30 years.For OBC: 21-33 years.S.C./S.T: 21-35 years.PWD: 21-40 years.

3.Male/Fefale both must be the Indian citizen and can appear IAS .

Yes you can appear for IAS You have to appear for civil service Examination.

Education Qualification:

A degree from a Central, State or Deemed university
A degree received through Correspondence Education or Distance Education
A degree from an Open University
A qualification recognized by the Government of India as being equivalent to either of the above.

Age Limit:

Age should be between 21 to 33 years for General category, 21 to 35 for OBC & 21 to 35 for SC/ST category.
