Re: On what conditions does Indian Railways help SCRA qualifiers in their higher education? Hello There is no such conditions that the government apply on the SCRA candidates, and above all let me make this fact clear to you that government does not actually helps the candidates, the whole process works like this The candidates who have completed their 10+2 or any other equivalent exam to 10+2 with mathematics and any one subject between physics and chemistry with second division are applicable for SCRA,the age limit is 17 to 21 years. Now the fact is the SCRA selection is done through two stage 1)Entrance Exam. 2)Interview. If one passes both the stages, then he/she gets elected for the job.Now after selection they are sent to the Indian Institute Of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering ,situated at jamalpur to study Mechanical Engineering. After the course is completed they get appointed as the Group 'A' officers in Indian Railways. Even the student gets stipend of 10k while during the course. This the whole process related with SCRA.
