Hi,

Eligibility for IES - Indian Engineering Services :

You are eligible to apply for IES and IAS exam because you have completed your bachelor's degree as engineering in mechanical stream so that you can apply for IES

A bachelor's degree in engineering in any one of the following disciplines from a recognized university

~~Civil Engineering
~~Electrical Engineering
~~Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
~~Mechanical Engineering

>>Final year pursuing candidates are also eligible to apply for Indian Engineering Service Exam

>>The Candidate Age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 year and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates

Exam between these following dates :

Start date for online application - 17-08-2013

Last date for online application - 16-09-2013

Date for UPSC IES exam - 07-12-2013

Eligibility to apply for IAS - Indian Administrative Service Exam 2013 :

A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and final year pursuing candidates are also eligible to apply for this exam

Age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates

dear friend. there are many upsc jobs for BE graduates. like: IAS IFS IES IPS CDS etc. BE graduates must apply for this exams. for more details read weekly employment news & visit website : www.upsc.gov.in

Dear Friend

First of all I would like to clear you conception that UPSC does not provide any job to any candidates rather it conducts entrance examinations after clearing which you will be able to get jobs in various governmental departments.

Since you have done your bachelor's degree in engineering the best examination for you will be Indian engineering services.The minimum requirement for this exam is bachelor's degree in engineering /technology from a recognized university.

If you have done B.E in civil,electrical,mechanical,electronics and communication or electrical then there is no problem but if you are from other trades than these then you have to select your conventional papers from these streams only.

The age limitations are 21-30 years for the general category ,21-33 years for the obc and 21-35 years for the sc/st respectively.

Examinations pattern:

Other than IES exams ,you are also eligible for the :

>>Civil services examinations

~~Age limit is 21-30 years

>>Combined defense services

~~Age limit is 19-25 years.

>>Indian Forest services

~~Age limit same as civil services examinations.

Bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement for all these examinations mentioned above.

Now it depends upon you to select the exam depending upon your interest and strength.

Indian Air Force : A bachelor's degree with mathematics and physics as a compulsory subject and age should not be less than 19 years and more than 23 years to apply for this section

UPSC Indian Forest Service Examination

A bachelor's degree in any one of the following disciplines from a recognized university

Agriculture
Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science
Botany
Chemistry
Engineering - Any Discipline
Forestry
Geology
Mathematics
Physics
Statistics
Zoology

Age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which is follows same as mentioned above

UPSC Civil Service Examination 2013

A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university, Final year pursuing candidates are also eligible to apply, and age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age follows same as mentioned above

I have attached the official notification for the post of Forest Service examination because both of the examination's registration is open and will be closed at - 4th April 2013 so that you should register for both of any one of these exams

Hello

A engineering graduate can apply for many of the UPSC exams.
The engineering degree allows you to sit for exams like

IES(Indian Engineering Services)-the qualification required to apply for the IES is a engineering degree in any stream.
IAS(Indian Administrative Services)-the qualification required to apply for the IAS is graduation from any stream,as you have done your graduation ,then you are applicable,the stream does not matters.
IFS(Indian Forest Services)-the degree in engineering is applicable.
IPS(Indian Police Service)-the qualification required is graduation from any stream,same as IAS.
CPF(Central Police Force)-the qualification required is again graduation from any stream.

A BE graduate can apply for the below UPSC exams:

>> Engineering services exams: Eligibilty is BE/BTECH pass
Age should be between 21 and 30 years
Next exam would be held on 28th June 2013

>> UPSC Civil Services Exams
Eligibilty is Graduation pass in any stream
Age should be between 21 and 30 years

UPSC CDS exams:Graduation Pass in any stream for the IMA and OTA wing
Age for IMA is 19 to 24 years
Age for OTA is 19 to 25 years
For Indian navy it is BE/BTECH pass
Age between 19 to 22 years
For Airforce Be/Btech pass or Graduation pass in any stream with physics and Maths as subjects in class 12th
Age between 19 to 23 years

Being a BE graduate, you care eligible for the following UPSC exams:

Being a BE graduate, you have a privilege to appear for IES. So, I would suggest you to go for IES if you have completed you B.E from one of the following branch:

• Civil

The criteria for appearing in UPSC Exam is :
1. Nationality : Indian
2. Academic qualification : Graduate in any stream from any recognized university.
3. Age limits : 21-30 (OPEN), 21-33 (OBC), 21-35(sc/st).
4. Attempts : OPEN-4 , OBC-7 ,SC/ST-9 .
