The height required for the female candidate is the 150cm.
5cm relaxation for the sc/st category.
Eye sight for better eye-6/6
For bad eye 6/12.
Qualification is required for the exam is the graduation in any stream
Age limit for the exam is the 21 to 30 years.
Age relaxation for the unreserved category

FOR IPS EXAM you should have to passed graduate from the recognized university.

you must be an indian.

Physical measurement for this exam are -
Height is very important in all examination -
Minimum height for females candidates - 150 cm.

5cm Relaxation on height for those candidates who belonging from hill areas.
Eyesight for Better Eye -6/6.

The physical criteria for being eligible as IPS are:
HEIGHT: The required height is 165 cms for men and 150 cms for women. It is same for general,OBC and SCs. But age is relaxed by 5 yrs for STs.
PERMITTED PROBLEMS In VISION: Eye myopia can include cylinders but it should be less than -4D. And hypermetropia should not exceed +4D.
Aspirants must have high grade colour vision.
GLASSSES are PERMITTED BUT UPSC HAVENT TALKED OF LASIK.
Chest expansion:84 cm for men and 79 cm for women.
All joints should function properly.

IPS

stands for indian police service exam and this is conducted by the union public service commission under the civil service examination and every year the UPSC has inviting the every year applications for eligible candidates.

* For IPS there is no special physical eligibilty required.

* The minimum qualification eligibility required is that the candidate must be graduate and between 21-30years except age relaxations

* Normally the visual should be 6/6 for right and 6/9 for left eye. If a person visually disabled more than 40% he/she will get reservation under handicapped reservation.
