Re: Can I join Merchant Navy through UPSC exam?

    Hello there,

    >> Sorry but if you are looking to pursue a career in Merchant Navy, then UPSC is not your cup of tea.
    >> The UPSC does not offers a career in Merchant Navy.
    >> The UPSC provides bright and respect-commanding job in the defence sector of the Indian Navy, but there is nothing related to what you desire.
    >> If you look to make a career in Navy through UPSC, then that ought to be defence and you can do so either through the NDA exam or through the CDS examination.

    >> However, if you are keen to join as a Merchant Navy, then you will have to do so seperately through different university entrance exams such as the CUSAT, Taulani, etc.
    >> Merchant Navy involves much of a private education system, and hence it involves a lot of money investing, because there are very few government institutions offering this course.
    >> You can also join through without giving any entrance examination, through private bodies. There are many such courses on offer, with proper investing.

    All The Best.
