    HI,

Most of the courses English language is the main thing you are a Hindi Medium Student and if you are being confused about the selection of the subject for your civil services preparation so that i would like to tell you the complete exam pattern for this exam :

There are following steps in the complete selection process which are as :

Preliminary Exam : This would be your first prelims test in the civil service exams and you have to appear for two objective type question papers in this section and each paper contains 200 marks so the total marks for preliminary exams is 400 and if you got failed in this exam then you would not be allowed to apply for next step means for mains exam so that you have to pass this exam at any cost.

Mains Examination : Completed in preliminary exam you have to apply for mains exam and there is would be two subjects which you will have to choose for your mains exam and you may choose any two subjects of the following list to appear for mains examination :

    1. Agriculture
    2. Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science
    3. Anthropology
    4. Botany
    5. Chemistry
    6. Civil Engineering
    7. Commerce
    8. Economics
    9. Electrical Engineering
    10. Geography
    11. Geology
    12. History

If you have the combination of - Sociology, History and Culture of Punjab, English and Sanskrit so that you may choose following combination to prepare for your mains exam :

Sociology, Political Science, and International Relations or

Above mentioned combinations are best suitable for you and you can easily prepare for your mains exam with any one of these above mentioned subjects and you are from Hindi Medium so that these are the best subjects for you and other Hindi Medium students

Interview Process : After qualifying both of these steps you will be called for interview process by the UPSC board and you have to face interview under the UPSC board Interview Committee and dear if you qualify this step then you would make your life means you would become an IFS or IAS or IRS or equivalent post which is superlative administration post in India.

Re: IAS subject combination in Hindi Medium?

Whenever you go to decide in which language you will give your answer either in english or hindi. If you think you are strong in hindi then you can opt hindi for your optional subject Arts.A candidate can get solid marks in arts as they are habituated in giving exam in hindi both combination can lead her/him to score high.Again if you were the student of english medium you can opt English subject for all purposes however mother language can help you more.

    Thank you,
