    Dear sir,
    You can apply for UPSC exam being a BCA graduate but you should have the eligibility criteria fulfilled.

    You should have completed graduation from a good university

    Your age should be:-

    General= 21-30 years
    OBC=21-33 years
    SC/ST= 21-35 years.

    You should have these criteria to apply for UPSC exams.

    Thank you....

    Re: Is it true that BCA graduates cannot appear in Civil Services Exam?

    Hello

    That is absolutely in correct and very false,you must know that the BCA stands for BACHELOR OF COMPUTER APPLICATION.So how can you say that it is not a bachelor degree.It is very much a bachelor degree and you will be called as a graduate after you complete your graduation that is your BCA.

    Hence you will be absolutely eligible for applying in the civil services exams.

    So just do not worry and apply for the exams.Actually although BCA is a very much a bachelor degree but it does not have that much of importance in the computer field,one need to complete its MCA in order to get a good job in the big software companies.

    That is why may be your friends have said or they have developed such conception,there is no doubt that BCA is a very much a bachelor degree.
