1. must be university graduate form reconised university or equivalent.
2.Age criteria :
One should be in the age group of 21-30 years by 1st August of the year in which the examination is going to be conducted.
tips:
- firstly decide the which exam you can give then know their pattern and syllabus.
- prefer good books and notes.
- you can also join any good coaching center or prepare in home by yourself.
- here time management is most important.
- there is no shortcut only hard work and practice is important to got success.
- carefully read instruction and conditions after then fill-up form.
* some books name and magazine:
- r.s agarwal for reasoning and quants,
- arihant publications books for all subjects,
- upkar publ. for all subjects,
- pratiyogita darpan, csr, manorama magazines,
- daily read a good newspapers like the hindu and times of india etc,

the age limit is for general category is 21 to 30 years. and attempt the exam 4 time.

the age limit is for obc category is 21 to 33 years ( 3 years relaxation ). attempt the exam 7 times.

age limit for SC/ST category is 21 to 35 years and attempt chance till overage. means unlimited.

for the preparation the exam.

read the news paper daily.

watch the news paper.

update with the internet,

read the general studies books.

Following is the Eligibility Criteria for IAS/IFS:-
1. You must be Indian for IAS and for IFS as per Indian Govt. Rules if you belongs to other nation.
2. You must be Graduate before your main Exam
3. You must attain 21 and must not attain the age of 30 yrs.

Age Limits:-
1. General - 21- 30 yrs.
2. OBC- 21-33 Yrs.
3.SC/ST- 21-35 Yrs.

For IAS you can choose your choice of Optional Subjects but for IFS its something Tricky, because there are no Commerce subjects in regards of Optional Subjects for Commerce Students. Generally these are Science subjects. But you can go for Environmental Science and Mathematics.

I am a B.com graduate preparing for CDS exams. I want to apply for Indian Forest Services exam. I want to know the eligibility criteria and age limit for IFS entrance exams. I also want to start the preparations for IAS exams but lack the knowledge about how to prepare for it, what are the preferences and study materials for it and what are the exams schedules. I would be glad if you could guide me and provide detail information regarding this. Thanking you.
