Re: Is it true that maximum age limit is 40 years for physically handicapped candidates in UPSC related exams?

Friend, it is totally true that the maximum upper age for a physical handicapped candidate is 40 years. Because a physical disabled candidate gets the relaxation in upper age by 10 years. In this way, he gets 30+10 years = 40 years of upper age for the civil service examination.

General age limits for UPSC Examinations are:
    * 21 years to 30 years only for General
    * For OBC category, it is 33 years
    * For SC/ST categories, it is 35 years
    * For Physically Handicapped category, it is 40 years of age.

    Dear Aspirant!
Yes, the age relaxation of 10 years additionally applicable for Physically Handicapped aspirants in UPSC examinations for Civil services and Engineering services examination.

    Normally age limits are:
21 years to 30 years only for General
+3 years as age relaxation for OBC
+5 years upper age relaxation for SC/ST
+10 years for Physically Handicapped aspirants.

Re: Is it true that maximum age limit is 40 years for physically handicapped candidates in UPSC related exams?

Dear it is really a fact that the age limit for PWD and PH candidates is upto 40 years because the normal eligibility criteria and age limit is - 30 years of various exams as - civil service, forest service, police service, engineering service and other exams the government provides the upper age relaxation for reserved category candidates which is - 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD and 5 years for Ex-Servicemen so that the upper age limit comes to

    SC/ST - 30+5 = 35 years of age

    OBCs - 30+3 = 33 years of age

    PWD & PH - 30+10 = 40 years and if comes under SC/ST then + 5 more = 45 years

    Ex-Servicemen - 30+5 = 35 years

But in some exams the relaxation would be same the the maximum age limit would be decreased as -

IBPS and Other banks clerk examination - 28 years is the maximum + 10 = 38 years less 2 years than UPSC

    SSC - Combined Graduate Level Examination - 28 years + 10 years = 38 years

So that you should not worry and when the government has provided you enough facilities then you should use this and prepare well for this examination and give more than 10 hours everyday for the preparation then you will be able to qualify the examination then you have to prepare only for interview which you may prepare under the guidance of any successful candidates
