    dear aspirant,

according to me you must go for B.A with Public Administration. It will Help you for Civil Services exam that is conducted for the post of IAS. as you can choose Public Administration as your optional subjects.

    Tips For Preparation for CSAT:

    1. Understand the test by going through CSAT Syllabus and CSAT previous year papers.
    2. Read newspapers and magazine it will prepare you for current affairs and take notes of important head lines.
    3. Read books on General Knowledge.
    4. Improve your aptitude.
    5. Solve previous year papers for CSAT.

    download papers from following link:

Dear both of the degrees are best according to prepare for your civil services exams and as for as my views are concerned that Public Administration subject is more tough than Political Science and Public Administration would be tough to get qualified in the mains exam but the Political Science is easy for you to crack your mains optional subjects and to complete your degree without any problem.

Both specialization subjects are available as the optional subjects for the mains exam in civil services so that you may choose any one and if you complete your BA with Public Administration then you should choose that and if you complete your BA with Political Science then you should choose that and i have listed the subjects for mains exam which are available for mains exam :

    Agriculture
    Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science
    Anthropology
    Botany
    Chemistry
    Civil Engineering
    Commerce and Accountancy
    Economics
    Electrical Engineering
    Geography
    Geology
    History
    Law
    Management
    Mathematics
    Mechanical Engineering
    Medical Science
    Physics
    Philosophy
    Political Science and International Relations
    Psychology
    Public Administration
    Sociology
    Statistics
    Zoology

I have listed the best combination subject for your mains exam

Political Science and International Relations with Sociology
Political Science and International Relations with Public Administration
    Public Administration with Sociology

But dear to apply for this exam you should have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and if you are pursuing final year of your degree then also you may apply for this exam and age should be between 21-30 years and relaxation in upper age as 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC

    All the best
