Dear you are belong to punjab. so you give the entrance exam for the PCS and other state government jobs. at present time you fill the application for punjab planning commission for the post of interns which required the any graduation in any stream. for the post of pcs you wait some time. other wise you are eligible for the upsc different-2 exam. you also apply for the staff selection combined graduate level test. best of luck for the future

Most IAS officers start their careers in the state administration at the sub-divisional level as a sub divisional magistrate. They are entrusted with the law and order situation of the city along with general administration and development work of the areas under their charge. There are two types of written examination in UPSC. UPSC Prelim exam and UPSC Mains exam. You will appear in UPSC Prelim exam first in which Objective type Questions are asked from General English, General Studies etc. For UPSC Mains you have to choose Subjects. There are total 51 Optional Subjects in which 23 are from main subjects and 28 Language Subjects like Hindi, English, Bengali etc. The Preliminary Examination will consist of two papers of Objective type (multiple choice questions) and carry a maximum of 400 marks The Main Examination will consist of a written examination and an Interview Test. The written examination will consist of 9 papers of conventional essay type. Syllabus for prelim exam: Current events of national and international importance History of India and Indian National Movement Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World Indian Polity and Governance - Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc Economic and Social Development - Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector initiatives, etc. General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change - that do not require subject specialization For mains exam you have to choose the subjects.
