In februaly 2013, notification regarding this coming and you can apply for this. These are some basic requirement for applying this. Age: - age should be 21 to 30 years for general candidates, 21 to 33 for OBC candidates, and 21 to35 for SC/ST candidates. Height: - height for general male is 165 cm and for female is 150 cm. for SC/ST/OBC candidates it is 160 male) and 145 (female). Education: - Any graduate from a UGC recognized university. thanks

The exam is conducted by UPSC stands for Union Public Services Commission. If you want to become an IPS officer for that you have to apperein civil services examELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-Academic Qualification :-You should have completed Graduation with any of the steam from a recognized university.-Even the candidates who are pursuing final year of Graduation are also eligible to give this exam but they should be able to show the proof of passing in Graduation when they appear for Interview.Age limit :-A candidate of General category should be in the age group of 21-30 years to be eligible for this exam.-Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 3years for the candidates of OBC category.-For the candidates of SC/ST category, relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 5 years.-Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 10 years for the candidates with physical disabilitiesGood luck....

To become an IPS officers you need to clear CSAT exam , CSAT exam is conducted by UPSC once in a year. After Clearing this exam candidate find various post like IAS, IPS, IRS on the basis of merit that he/she obtain in the Entrance exam. For appearing CSAT exam UPSC allotted some eligibility criteria whihc are important to fulfilled by the candidate Eligibility Criteria IS candidate should be graduate from recognized university in any stream. marks or percentage doesn't matter. Age Limit General 21 to 30 OBC 21 to 33 SC/ST 21 to 35 Nationality- must be Indian No. of attempts General- 4 OBC- 7 SC/ST- no limit Best Of luck

For this exam you should have below criteria are eligible:- Eligibility Criteria:- 1. Should be graduate from recognized university. 2. Age should be for General :- 21-30 yrs. OBC :- 21-33 yrs. IPS is stand for the Indian Police Service, it is under the civil service exam, under the civil service exam the ias/ips/irs etc. When you any institute for the preparation of the civil service exam then it is called the course. Ips is not course, it is the exam. The qualification is required for the exam is the 21 to 30 years Age relaxation for the reserve category, three years for the obc category and five years for the sc/st category. Qualification required candidate must have graduate in any stream from the approved university. Best of luck

Dear Friend IPS stands for the Indian Police services.It is neither a exam nor a course but is a services of Central government.Civil services examination is conducted by the UPSC every year for getting into this services. For becoming an IPS officer first of all ,You need to fulfill the eligibility criteria that is as below: >>Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university.Final year candidates can also apply for the exam. >>Your age should be between 21-30 years if you belong to general catgeory.Relaxation of three years and five years are given to obc and sc/st respectively. >>You must be an Indian citizen. >>General get four attempts while obc get seven and sc/st has no limit. After fulfilling all these criteria ,you need to apply for the civil services examination and compete it to become IPS officer. The exam is conducted by Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) to select candidates for the All India Services and for the services coming under the Group A and Group B of the Central Government. IPS Exam 2013 Eligiblity :- The candidate must be a degree holder of any discipline from a recognized university. The candidates who are in the final year of their degree course can also apply for the examination. Candidate who have completed their M.B.B.S., but not have completed the required internship during the time of submission of the application to the main examination will be provisionally admitted for the main examination. Physical qualification for IPS :- Height: The male candidate should be 165cm and female candidate should be 150cm for general category candidates. In the case of candidates coming under SC/ST/OBC the height required is 160cm for male and 145cm for female. Chest: Minimum requirement in the case of male candidates is 84cm and they should be able to expand the chest for 5cm. In the case of female candidates the minimum requirement is 79cm and they should be able to expand the chest for 5cm. Eye sight: 6/12 or 6/9 distant vision for worse eye and 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. Near vision for worse eye is J2 and for good eye is J1. AGE Requirement :- During the year of applying for the examination the candidate must have attained 21 years of age on 1st of August. So, minimum age limit is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 30 in the case of candidates coming under general category and 33 for OBC candidates and 35 for candidates coming under SC/ST category.
