there are 25 subject for your choice.

UPSC stands for Union public Service Commission this examination is conduced by every year.UPSC have a list of Examination there are.

Optional Subjects of Main Examination :-

There is a 25 optional subjects in UPSC Main examination and there is no special subjects for computer candidates and you have to select the two optional subjects from below list . You can opt these as optional subjects like History , Agriculture , Economics , Mathematics , Statistics , Political Science ..etc.

THERE is none subjects specially among from your branch however you have advantages of many other technical papers like maths,chemistry,physics to choose for you mains exams.

which will be surely give you added advantages as generally questions are from these papers are familiar to you at various years of your school days study,

rather unlike to arts stream subjects you need not to give LENGTHY description rather just give precise answer is sufficient in these subjects is legible for getting good marks, even very few aspirants choose these subjects so you have better chances of getting good marks while in arts stream subjects there is chances of matching of similiar,monotonous way of explaining of answer that will hinders the chances getting extra marks ........as examiner have many answer of upgraded quality or to choose among many.

there is no computer in optional subject.
you have to choose from 25 optional subject only.
you can choose any 2 subjects based on your interest and knowledge.

THERE'S NO SPECIFIC EXAM FOR COMPUTER SCIENCE GRADUATES ANY ONE CAN GIVE UPSC EXAM.SO THERE ARE NO OPTIONAL SUBJECTS FOR COMPUTER SCIENCE GRADUATES .YOU CAN HAVE SOME OPTIONAL SUBJECTS BUT NOT IN THIS FIELD YOU CAN HAVE IN OTHER FIELDS .FOR MORE DETAILS VISIT:

Dear Friend,
-I am sorry to Inform you that COMPUTER does not features in the LIST of Optional Subjects for the Mains exams of the Civil Service exams,neither there is any subject related to Computer as such.
-Hence,You will have to choose any subject out of the league,to prepare for the Mains.
-I would personally recommend You to opt for the ARTS SUBJECTS.
-The arts subjects include INDIAN HISTORY,PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION,GEOGRAPHY,POLITICAL SCIENCE and ECONOMICS.
-Choosing from them has proved highly beneficial for the students in the past.
-The subjects mentioned above are Highly Scoring.They have a success rate higher when compared to any other subject.
-The fact that the Paper-I of the Preliminary Exams basically is composed of these subjects,hands you with an additional advantage.It also saves a lot of time for preparations separately.
-However,THE FINAL CALL IS YOURS.Choose subjects upon the area of INTEREST and STRENGTH.
-You may do well only if You enjoy studying your subjects.
-Take your Time as these subjects carry as much as 1200 MARKS.
