Hello friend,

You can get entry in Indian Military Academy after qualifying the CDS exam conducted by UPSC twice in a year on national basis.

UPSC invites application in the month of November and May every year. So here you can fill application for the CDS-II exam.
Notification date: 25/05/2013
Last date of Application: 24/06/2013
Exam date: 08/09/2013

Basic criteria for applying CDS:
An Indian Citizen
Age should be 19 to 24 years
Candidate should have graduate degree in any strem

Hello

The IMA is a academy where army candidates and build them a officer through the training,through IMA one get in to the permanent commission of the army.
But the IMA notifications are not released separately,there is a entrance called CDSE(Combined Defense Service Examination) through which the IMA notifications are released.

CDSE-as the name suggests it is combined entry for not only army(IMA),but for the all the three wings of the defense.As through CDSE you can get entry in to
IMA(army entry),AFA(air force entry),OTA(army entry),NA(navy entry).

The CDSE is conducted twice in a year,the notifications are usually released in the month of the May/June and October/Novmember.
This year the notifications will be released on 25/5/2013
the exam will commence on 8/9/2013.

--UPSC conducts the CDS exam for the recruitment in defense service.
--This exam is conducted twice in a year at national level.
Exam date of CDS exam--
1.Notification date: 25/5/2013
2.Last date of application form: 24/6/2013
3.Exam date: 8/9/2013
To apply for the CDS exam -
1.you should be minimum graduation qualified.
2.your age should be between 19 to 25 years.
3.You must be the citizen of India.
4.You can apply for the CDS exam in online mode.
5.Exam fee: Rs. 200.

You can apply for IMA (Indian Military Academy) throu the CDS stands for Combined Defense Services by UPSC. This Exam organised twice in every year. If you want to go IMA then you should clear CDS Examination.

Friend, IMA stands for Indian Military Academy. IMA is primarily meant for imparting military training to selected candidate out of CDS Examination. After successful completion of military training, candidates are inducted into army in officer ranks.UPSC conducts CDS Examination twice in a year. CDS Examination make recruitment for IMA alongwith other three defence academies.The recruitment notification is advertised twice in a year generally in June and November. The recruitment process of NDA 2012 is under process. Dear there are two ways to join defense sector through UPSC board which are following as :

UPSC NDA & NA exam : There are following three departments under this NDA and NA board

Indian Army/Military : Candidate must have passed class 12th in any discipline from a recognized board

Indian Navy and Air force : Candidate must have passed in class 12th with mathematics and physics as a compulsory subject and any one of the biology/chemistry/computer science from a recognized board

Age should not be less than 16.5 years and more than 19 years

Only unmarried male candidates are allowed to apply/appear for this exam

Dates for upcoming UPSC NDA & NA exam

Start date for online application - 04-05-2013

Last date for online application - 03-06-2013

Date for NDA & NA exam phase II - 11-08-2013

UPSC CDS - Combined Defense Services Exam 2013 :

Indian Military or Army : Candidate must have passed a degree in any discipline from a recognized university and age should not be less than 19 years and more than 24 years

Indian Air Force and Navy : Candidate must have passed a degree with mathematics and physics as a compulsory subject and any one of the biology/chemistry/computer science from a recognized university and age should be between 19-22 years for Navy and 19-23 years for Air force

Both girls and boys candidates are allowed to apply/appear for this examinations

Indian Military Academy (IMA) exam conducted by UPSC through CDS exam

For IMA Exam candidate must be Graduate any stream from any recognized university

Age should be between 19-24 year

You can join OTA (Officer Training Academy) Through CDS Exam

OTA and IMA has same criteria

IMA stands for the Indian Military academy.Entrance to this academy is given through the CDS exams or NDA exams organised by the UPSC twice very year.

The basic requirement is that you should have bachelor's degree in any stream form a recognised university.You should be between 19-24 years for CDS exams.

For NDA exams you should have 10+2 passed/appearing from a recognised board with in the age range of 16.5 to 19 years

The eligibility criteria for CDS Exam are as follows:
Nationality:
The candidate must be Indian.

Age Limit: Candidates (Unmarried) of age between
(i) For IMA: 19-24 years.
(ii) For Indian Naval Academy: 19-22 years.
(iii) For Air Force Academy: 19-23 years.
(iv) For OTA: Male candidates (married or unmarried) of age between 19-25 years.
(v) For OTA: Unmarried Women of age between 19-24 years.

Educational Qualification:
(i) For I.M.A. and OTA: Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
(ii) For Indian Naval Academy: Degree in Engineering.
(iii) For Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

Hello Dear,

you can join IMA either NDA or CDS. both exam is conducted by UPSC.

If you are a graduate then you can apply for CDS exam but If you are 12th passed student then you are eligible for NDA exam.

Information about NDA exam
candidate must be passed/appeared in 12th with a govt. recognized university age should be 16.5 to 19 year, candidate should be Male and Unmarried

you can join IMA( Indian Military Academy ) through UPSC CDS exam. CDS exam is conducted by UPSC twice in every year. for appearing in exam you must have completed graduation.

>> Your age must be within 19 years to 24 years. There is no af=ge relaxation for any category.
