    Hi Aspirant,

    You can apply for UPSC exam after completing BA from distance mode.

    There is no problem with distance mode in UPSC exam.

    Your university or College should be recognized by DEC or IGNOU.

    Your age should be 21 to 30 years for CSE

    Age relaxation for eligible categories

    You must be Indian.


    You can apply for UPSC exam through following two modes

    Online application

    Offline application

    Dear Applicant,
    -Having completed your BA from distance education,You will be definitely eligible to appear for the exams conducted by the UPSC,provided the university under which you complete your BA is a recognized one.
    -The DETAILS of the UPSC exams which you can appear,after completing Your Bachelor in Arts,along with the eligibility criteria are listed below-
    (A) CIVIL SERVICE EXAMS.
    -You must hold a citizenship of India.
    -You must be 21 To 30 Years of Age.However,the upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST & ex-servicemen and by 3 Years for OBC & physically disabled.
    -All Graduates from recognized university are eligible.Final year students may also apply.
    -The number of attempts allowed is 04 For General Category,07 For OBC candidates and Unlimited for SC/ST candidates.
    (B) COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES.
    -Here,you can apply for Indian Military Academy and Officers Training Academy only.
    -You must be a citizen of India.
    -You must be 19 To 24 years of age for IMA and 19 To 25 years of age for OTA.
    -All Graduates and final year appearing students are eligible for IMA and OTA.
    -The exams are conducted bi-annually by the UPSC.
    (C) CENTRAL POLICE FORCE EXAMS.
    -You must be a citizen of India.
    -You must be 20 To 25 years of age.
    -All Graduates and final year appearing candidates are applicable.
    -The exams are conducted in October while the forms are released on May.

    But the university must be recognized by UGC.

    Yes ,

    you are eligible because there is no any mode shown in the recruitment,

    so you are eligible only if qualifying all the eligibility criteria and your university must be govt. Recognized.

    Oh sure you can apply for this examination.UPSC stands for Union Public Service Commission for every year and Upsc have many examination like

    >>Civil service Examination

    The basic eligibility required are:


    - Graduation from recognized Institute.
    - Age Limit: 21 to 30 years. 3 years relaxation for OBC & 5 years relaxation for SC/ST

    1.civil services examination (for IAS,IPS)

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA ::

    You must be a citizen of India,or, You must be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or,You must be a Tibetan refugee settled permanently in India before 1962.

    You must be of 21 to 30 years of age. HOWEVER,there is a relaxation in the upper age limit,of 3 years for the OBC and 5 years for the SC/ST

    You must have completed your Graduation or Equivalent,from a recognized university under any

    stream,or be a final year student in the same

    The number of attempts is 4 for a General category student,7 for an OBC candidate, and

    unlimited for a SC/ST candidate,until he fulfills the age criteria

    2. central police force (CPF) held once every year whose eligibility criteria are

    1.university graduate of any stream either in final year/passed out with 55% in graduation

    2. age limit within 20-25 years relaxation in the upper age limit,

    of 3 years for the OBC sand 5 years for the SC/ST

    3.CDS (for recruitment in three armed forces of Indian union) exam conducted bi-annually

    in which age should be within 18-25 yrs.& one must be university graduate from recognized university

    there is no age relaxation for any category

    Dear Aspirant

    Yes you can apply for the upsc exam

    Why not you can apply for the exam on the basis of your B.A Distance degree

    As to write the upsc exam you just need to be pass in graduation from a recognized

    Indian university .Need graduation degree whether it is a distance or a regular degree

    And the age limit to give the upsc exam is

    21-30 for the general

    And relaxation will be given to the sc/st of 5 years

    And relaxation will be given to the obc candidates of 3 years

    And the relaxation given to the ph of 10 years

    YES, as mode is not mentioned by the upsc.

    check other requisites also

    UPSC can conducts the civil services examsfor( IAS,IPS) also conducts CMS,IES,CPF,CDS,IFS etc......
    UPSC takes these exams every year.

    IAS,IPS,IES,IFS exams can be conducts in 2 stages namely

    Preliminary exam
    Main examination.

    After completion of preliminary exam you are eligible for Main examination.

    After clearing the main examination you will be called for final interview.

    Preliminary examination should consist of 2 papers.Which is conducted on objective type only.

    Main examination should consist of 9 papers,it is a descriptive exam.

    Eligiblity:


    Education qualifications;

    You have to pass your graduation in any recognized university.
    Age qualifications:

    Your age should in between 21-30 years.
    Upper age limit will be applicable for ST/SC/OBC candidates.

    No.of Permissible attempts:

    4 for General candidates.
    7 for OBC
    No limit for SC/ST's.

    Nationality:Indian.

    You must be physically fit as per rules.
