    Hi Aspirant,

    Don�t worry friend there is not any eye side requirement for IES and IAS exam.

    You can appear for UPSC civil service and Indian Engineering Service exam.

    UPSC required eye side requirement only for defense exam and force exam like NDA,CDS and CPF etc.

    You should study for the exam.

    Eyesight is not a standard set for the Civil Services examinations set by the UPSC.
    So you wont face any problem for clearing them due to your eye sight problem.
    just prepare well and You wil succeed.

    Hello Aspirant

    Friend their is no need to worry

    As from the criteria from the upsc

    Yes their is criteria that the candidate eye sight

    Should be 6 by 6 with out wearing glasses or wearing glasses

    As your eye sight is up to the mark after wearing the glasses

    So you have no problem to write the exam

    Go for the exam with out any tension

    For IAS IESyou dont need perfect eyesight so just concentrate on your preparation and do well. all the best

    in IES and IAS you don't need perfect eyes. and correction is allowed by spectacles +Lasik surgery, Radial Keratotomy

    no there r not such reqirenment in ias or ies...u can apply

    no there is no eye sight restriction in IAS exam. so even if you have spects you need not to worry just focus on your preparation of exam and ALL THE BEST for your exam.

    I would like to know whether there is any restriction or conditions as such on the recruitment of IES and civil services posts regarding eyesight requirements? I wear spectacles with -5.00 in one eye and -4.75 in other....plz help
