FINAL YEAR CANDIDATE CAN ALSO APPLY FOR THIS EXAM. AGE CRITERIA IS 21-30 YEARS. YOU MUST BE INDIAN CITIZEN. And if you want to crack the exam Then you should have to work hard and make a strategy And work according to that .Do daily practice and practice You can also visit the http://www.upsc.gov.in/ for more information

Mech Or 3. Electrical Or 4. Electronics Or 5. Telecommunication So Friend you are not eligible for IES.

IES stands for Indian Engineering Service. This exam is conducted once in a year. You can give IES exam only from 4 following subject given below. Civil Mechanical Electrical Electronics and telecommunication IES exam is not conducted from Bio medical stream. Qualification for IES exam You should have technical degree in any stream from recognized university or its equivalent. Age should be 21 to 30 years Age relaxation SC/ST + 5 years OBC + 3 years PH + 10 years You must be Indian. Exam pattern and syllabus Attachment 6670 To crack the IES exam you should have dedication of study and hard work. You should schedule your time table as per your convenience. You must follow the Time table. You can also take help of any leading institute for the preparation of UPSC exam. Study with NCERT books and reference books. Practice previous year model question paper for the preparation of IES exam. But you can give the exam only with these four subjects namely Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics and telecommunications . So you will have to select any one of the above four subjects for your exam question paper ; and you will have to prepare accordingly.

Hello Aspirant Yes you can apply for the exam why not As IES Stands for the Indian Engineering Services And any candidate who have passed in b.tech From a recognized indian university can apply for the exam As just a b.tech graduation degree required for the exam Also their is age limit for the open category it is 21-30 And for the sc.st category it is 21-35 And for the obc category it is 21-33 For the ph candidates the age limit is 21-40 And if you want to crack the exam Then you should have to work hard and make a strategy And work according to that .Do daily practice and practice If you will follow this success is not too way long Best of luck

As you have a degree of engineering you can apply. ELIGIBILITY: The minimum eligibility criteria for giving the IES exam is to be a engineer and should have a degree of engineering. Generally IES examination is for the listed below branches -->Electrical Engineering -->Civil Engineering -->Mechanical engineering -->Electronics and communication Engineering M.Sc degree or equivalent with wireless communication,radio physics,electronics etc can also apply. The final year students can also apply in this examination. As you are a degree holder you definitely can apply. The first and foremost thing is you have to choose only one of the above branches. TIPS FOR TAKING PREPARATION: Firstly understand carefully the whole syllabus Buy the best books from the market. Practice it with the core of your heart concentrate on studies. don't get panic for help you can see the type of question which i have attached below.

I am afraid you are not eligible for this exam as this recruite only for electronics & telecommunication,electrical,mechanical and civil engineering fields.You can definitely appear in IAS,SSC CGL and some other exams as well.Please check http://ww.upsc.gov.in and http://ssc.nic.in for more details.Good Luck!
