IES stands for Indian Engineering Services.

IES exam is conducted by UPSC only for Engineers

Eligibility Criteria for IES
Should be completed degree or diploma in engineering & technology for following branch
Mechanical
Civil Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering

age should be 21 to 30 years
age relaxation for OBC candidate 3 years, age relaxation for SC/ST candidate 5 years

Dates for upcoming Indian Engineering Service Exam 2013 :
Start date for online application - 16-03-2013
Last date for online application - 15-04-2013
Date for Engineering Service exam - 28-06-2013
