now you have only six months to be prepared,for really want to success now you have only 3 ways to do
1- forget how the last time has wasted and go ahead
2- just plan for your weak and hard topics, according to time give more time to your strong topics ,you could make thier perfect score
3- next six months , live with full will power, don`t leave topic in mid whatever thier is relative marriage reason or india-pak match or anythingh else.....

Of course u can crack IAS with 6 months of study but it will be very difficult for u since u will be competing with other people who have studied for the whole year and worked hard. But if u can study the same things in 6 months u can succeed in the exam. but in order to do so u will require maximum attention toward ur studies with no distractions

Yes you can do it, for preparation you should download and print old Question Paper of IAS exams from UPSC website www.upsc.gov.in
First of all you have to choose your subjects for IAS examinations.

You should choose arts subjects for this, History, Sociology or political science, Psychology is the best option. After that you have to prepare from study material available in market for IAS examination.

You can also download e-books from computer as Sample Question papers. Remember Practice the Sample Papers is the best option.

dear candidate, with six minths preparation you can crack preliminary exam for sure but if your basics are already clear you clear mains as well but six months is too short time for preparing IAS exam, you have to prepare atleast for one year so do not think of success in a short span of time because clearing IAS exam is not a small thing it needs lot of hard work..All the best
