In upsc civil services mains exam, there is no subject related your graduation(computer science) in the list of optionals. So you can better go with popular optionals such as Geography, History, Public administration, Political science, Psychology, Sociology etc.

Its good to choose :

Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry as per your Interest.

that's my opinion , so before choosing them ,keep your awareness too before going to any subjects.

For the preparation of Civil Service exam you should choose the subject of your Interest.

As you mentioned you have completed M. Sc. From computer science.

But computer science is not any optional subject in mains exam.

there is no any subject of computer science in upsc. So, you may choose another subject in which you are intrested.
for this you have to visit upsc.gov.nic.in you also have to select some other subjects which you can select of your choice other than core subjects.
IB,CID.CBI for these services the exam is conducted by SSC named as combined graduate level exam.

for civil services u can opt the science subject like physics, chemistry, mathematisc etc.u can preapare gk by news papre and csr and other gk books .the notification for all these exam can be checked by regular visiting the official website that is http://www.upsc.gov.in/ and http://www.freshersworld.com/.. its good that u r preparing GS by McGrawHill and indian history along wilth manorama and competition. also u can refer to NCERT BOOKS for gk u can refer csr or pratiyogit darpan...

you should select your core subjects if they are there in list provided by UPSC
for this you have to visit upsc.gov.nic.in
you also have to select some other subjects which you can select of your choice other than core subjects.
IB,CID.CBI for these services the exam is conducted by SSC named as combined graduate level exam.
for notification your email id should be subscribed to SSC websie or FREE JOB ALERT.
for these you can apply now up to 17th april.

Hi, dear for civil service exam you can go for your base subjects which you have in M.SC like physics, chemistry, math whatever but in spite of that you have to go for GK,GA, current affairs etc extra out knowledge.
