You are absolutely right that current affairs is the major part of competition exams and so many students are there who are facing problems in current affairs study but you should follow these guidelines :

1. You should start daily news papers but in your paper one should be nationalized and one should be local that you could get entire knowledge and if you consider then the news paper is the biggest weapon to control over the current affairs and you should prefer - THE HINDU and any one local news paper.

2. You should purchase some top most magazines which provide some information but the concepts and topics are solid as - Wizard, Frontline, Yojna, Kurukshetra, Success Mirror etc. because these magazines provides very good and 100% accurate information about any special topic.

3. Prefer - INDIA YEAR BOOK which is launched by the Indian government about the system of Indian government and various plans and schemes of the government so you will get the accurate knowledge and this book would be launched around December 2012.

4. Go to some knowledge-ful and authentic websites which provide you the accurate information about the current events which are - Jagaranjosh, jbigdeal, onlinegkguide, fullysolvedpapers etc.

5. You must note down some most highlighted topics and revise them again and again then you will make some part solid in your preparation

6. Watch some national and international news channels which are organized by government or any authentic company - NDTV etc.

If you will follow these instructions then you will definitely cover your current affairs part.

For your studies on Current Affairs you need to regularly study newspapers, magazines and watch News channels.
