the eligibility criteria for IPS is as follows:
1. you should have completed 21 years of age as on 1st august of the year and must not have crossed 30 years of age.
2.Upper age limit relaxation of 3 years and 5 years for OBC and SC/ST/PD category students respectively.


Attempts:
The number attempts for this exam is 4 times for general category, 7 attempts for OBCs and no limited number of attempts for SCs/STs. The preliminary exam is also considered as one attempt.

The Last date to apply for 2013 was 4th april and exam is to be conducted on 26th may.

i want to bcome a ips officer. i was complete my gradutation from bsc electronic and i just start mba........my height was 5'6'' . so i was elligible or not for ips. please give me a key dates of all exams for ips.... and please refer the names of materials so i start my preparation..please give some guidence.
