To apply for Indian Forest Service examination, you must have following eligibility criteria

Must have passed bachelor's degree examination in any one of the following streams from a recognized university

Agriculture
Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science
Botany
Chemistry
Engineering
Forestry
Geology
Mathematics
Statistics
Zoology

Your age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates

Dear if you have completed your bachelor's degree, B.Sc in Forestry then you are completely eligible to apply for this exam and there is no need to have any other subject in your combination because forestry is enough to make your eligible for forest service examination

Now you should start your preparation without waiting for next year notification and prepare well before the examination and when exam comes then perform well and qualify this examination and if you will practice hard everyday and will provide more than 10 hours everyday for your preparation then you can easily qualify this exam and may be shortlisted for interview process but practice is everything in competitive examinations

Yes, Bachelor in Forestry candidate can apply for IFS Exam.

And Exam Notification is in following months:

>> Notification of Examination February/March

>> Examination Conducted in July

There three steps in UPSC Exam.

>> First Step Is Prelims Exam.

>> There is multiple choice Questions paper

>> There are two Paper

1. General English

2. General Studies

>> If You clear Prelims then you have to appear in Mains Exam

In this Exam there also two paper of Descriptive type. Subject you have choose at the time of form filling.

>> If you clear Mains Exam then there is Personal Interview.

If you clear these three steps then you will become IFS Officer

IFS exam stands for Indian forest services.

IFS exam is conducted by upsc.

you can apply this exam after bachelor degree in forestry.

IFS EXAM ELIGIBILITY;-

1-you must be passed a bachelor degree in the following branch;-

****math

****chemistry
***physics

**** forestry

AGE LIMIT;-

--age limit for this exam is 21-30 years.

EXAM PATTERN'-


1-WRITTEN EXAM,

PAPER 1-GENERAL ENGLISH 300 MARKS

PAPER 2-GENERAL KNOWLEDGE 300 MARKS

PAPER 3,4,5 AND 6 CONSIST ANY TWO SUBJECT WHICH IS SELECTED FROM LIST OF OPTIONAL SUBJECTS.

EACH SUBJECT HAVE TWO PAPERS , 200 MARKS FOR EACH PAPER.

TOTAL MARKS-1400 MARKS.

INTERVIEW FOR PERSONALITY TEST CONSIST 300 MARKS.
