There is nothing that a particular time is best for the preparation of civil services examinations.Civil services examination requires lots of labour and efforts needed by the candidate to clear it.

You can not compete this examination in a year.So I would like to tell you that since you are in second year of B.tech ,you can start your preparation right now .The syllabus of civil services examination is very vast ,you can not complete quickly.

You can join the coaching centers for the civil services examinations in weekend,since you get less time while pursuing your bachelor of technology.But you have to manage your time for the civil services examinations.

You have to give at least two hours daily right from now if you want to secure better rank in the civil services examinations.

Few necessary tips:

1.Starting reading newspaper daily.

2.Watch news bulletin.

3.Read the magazines like CSR,Chronicle,India today etc.

4.Go through the previous year question papers.

These all things will help in making your General studies strong.Be updated with the current affairs.

5.Revision at regular intervals is very necessary.

If you wish you can join the coaching centers like RAU'S IAS which is very well known for civil services examination preparation and better success ratio than other.

i am studying b-tech second year...i want to prepare for civils.....so can any one please suggest me what is the best time to start preparation......and how to start ....i'm 19 years old
