Re: How and when to fill the application form of IAS exams? Dear... The IAS exam is conducted once in a year by UPSC. It is a exam which is dream of many candidates. Actually the whole process of becoming an IAS has many sub process included and because of this it looks like a journey not just an exam. You have to clear many stages to become an IAS officer and in between you have to fill many forms and has to do many formalities. IAS exam as we know is conducted in Three Phases which are :- 1. IAS Pre 2. IAS Mains 3. Interview process UPSC has just now released the notification and hence the dates for which you are looking at are out now. This year date is 19th of May so the forms will be out in the second or third week of March. So till then wait and keep on preparing for the exam. Hope it will help Cheers...!!!

Re: How and when to fill the application form of IAS exams? =============================================== Hi friend, IAS Exam is the administrative civil service exam of the Government of India. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the exam every year. Civil Services Examination is also known as IAS examination. The preliminary examination which is held to select candidates for the next round mains will be replaced by Civil Services Aptitude Test. The new test CSAT will no longer focus on testing the subject knowledge and awareness. The new format emphasizes more on judging the mental ability of the candidate instead of subject knowledge. There will be two common papers of 200 marks each in CSAT. Each paper will be of two hours duration. The papers will be objective type and will focus on aptitude skills and ethical and moral dimensions of decision making. To appear for Civil Services Examination you have to satisfy the basic eligibility criteria. The basic eligibility criteria for Civil Services Exam are as follows:- -------------- 1st----The candidate should be Indian. 2nd----The candidate must be graduate any recognized university 3rd----Degree obtained by distance education/open university is also eligible if the university is a recognized university 4th----The Age of the candidate should be in between 21-30 yrs. 5th----The maximum number of attempts is 4. CSE is held by UPSC every year for aspiring candidates. CSE is conducted for 24 services/posts. After clearing CSE one can get posts like IAS,IPS,IFS,IRS,etc. You can fill the UPSC CSE application form ONLINE only and there is no other mode. When Exam Notification is advertised in the Employment News/Leading Newspapers/UPSC Websites you can apply before the last the of applying if you meet all the eligibility criteria given. Till now exam notification has not been declared,so wait for it. Dear candidate for your kind information that IAS exam is conducted by UPSC board and it is also known as civil service exam and UPSC board conduct this exam once in a year and it has a long process to be completed and dates for upcoming UPSC Civil Service exam are following as : Date for UPSC Civil Service Preliminary exam - 19th of may 2013 Mains examination dates would be announced soon by UPSC board means there is a long process of examination in which the first exam is called as preliminary exam in which you have to qualify two different papers in objective type pattern then you would be allowed to apply for mains exam and it has 400 marks means each paper contains 200 marks equally Mains examination - there would be 9 papers conducted in mains exam and qualifying in each is necessary and this would be conducted in conventional type mode and all 9 papers contains 2000 marks and if you qualify all the 9 papers then you would be called for interview process and this would be your final selection of IAS exam and if you qualify the interview then you would become an IAS officer in India For more details and informations you should keep visiting at - www.upsc.gov.in All the best
