nw I am studying 1st year b.e course...my desire is want to become an IPS officer...give me some tips..plzzz..From which year onwards I would want to prepare for UPSC exams... Give some brief explanation about UPSC exam...how it was conducted ???...what are the subjects involving in that ??..give and explain it's importance ???...how many years it could takes to complete ???

dear aspirant, for being IPS officer you must apply for UPSC IAS/IPS exams when you study in last year of graduation or after cmplete graduation. from my advice you have to start preparation regularly by learning current affairs , books of gk ,and improve skills and knowledge. for become perfect IPS officer.

The exam is conducted by upsc every year and it held in two phases:

1.Prelims

2.Mains

The eligiblity criteria is as follows:

1.One must hold graduation degree.

2.Age limit and no.attempts are as follows:

1.for general 21-30 yrs and attempts 4

2.for obc 21-33 yrs and attempts 7

3.for sc/st 21-35 yrs and attempts any no.

And for its preparation here are some tips::

1.Read newspaper and good competitve magazine .
2.Listen to news channel
3.Prepare aptitude from RS aggarwal
4.Study cbse books from class 6th till 10th
5.Prepare notes on difficult topic
6.Study daily for 4-5 yrs
7.Never skip your studies
8.Study some good General Knowlegde books
9.Practcise good english worksheets for english portion
10.Practise previous year papers.

To become an IPS officer you would be crack the Civil Service Exam which is conducted by UPSC Every year

For this you must be Graduate any stream from any recognized university

Your age must be between 21-30 year

Age relaxation for OBC 3 year and SC/ST 5 year

So dear you can apply for Civil Service Exam after completing your degree

you can start preparation for this exam

you should read news paper daily
you should watch news channel daily
you should read magazine
you should read NCERT Books
you should solved previous question paper
